A Job is created if
It complies with the minimum duration of employment: employment is for at least 20 hours per week for a period of 26 weeks per year (or any other combination resulting in at least 520 hours per week, with interruptions if necessary).
Payment of an adequate wage of twice the poverty line: in Ethiopia 125 Birr per day (3,88 USD) or 3750 Birr per month
Creating “income opportunities”: Jobs can be created along the value chain when an enterprise increases demand in local supply and delivery markets. This especially applies to informal Bottom of Pyramid (BoP) markets.
