Who We Are
The Jumpstart Accelerator is supported by the Special Initiative on Training and Job Creation, which is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Under the brand Invest for Jobs, the Special Initiative supports German, European and African companies in investment activities that have a high impact on employment in Africa.
In Ethiopia, Invest for Jobs aims to improve productivity and competitiveness of local SMEs to enable them for export or as suppliers to industrial parks (IPs). It also supports the improvement of the business environment for investors in IPs , the establishment of higher quality of employment, enhanced management capacities and assists the Ethiopian government in strengthening business relations between Ethiopian and international companies. The aim is to create up to 35,000 jobs by 2021.
Overall, Invest for Jobs offers comprehensive advice, contacts and financial support in the following African partner countries: Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt (currently in the planning stage), Ethiopia, Ghana, Morocco, Rwanda, Senegal and Tunisia.

iceaddis is the first innovation and co-creation center in Ethiopia established in May 2011. iceaddis is an innovation hub and co-creation space which facilitates technological innovations, creative projects, and startups support. Iceaddis provides young entrepreneurs, local and visiting creatives with professional support and consultancy
